WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT US
About 10 yrs ago I took my son to Village Barbershop to fix a really bad haircut from one of those fast whack places. Wade was able to fix the cut and I was so happy with the cut and how he made my son feel so comfortable. My son asked to go back again and again for Wade to cut his hair, he also really likes the warm towel and razor shave. This is a staple business for us and My son and I recommend Wade or any of the barbers at Village! Thank you Wade for great quality work!

Been coming here for the last eight years on and off, always loved how professional Matt, Wade and Joe are. Joe gave me my first haircut here in 2012 when I was 18. After two months in quarantine, Joe again provided me with the best haircut I’ve had in many years, and will be returning for every haircut in the future. Glad a great local barber still exists. What you ask for is what you’re going to get. 10/10.

If you are looking for a barber shop that goes above and beyond, look no farther – Village Barber Shop is the place! Joe is a true gentleman – a professional barber who treats everyone, including the elderly, with dignity and respect! After spending 9 days in the hospital, my elderly father was badly in need of a haircut. Although the shop was extremely busy, Joe went out of his way to see that Dad received a top notch haircut and even a shave! Joe made him look (and feel) like a human being again, and he was talking (and smiling) all the while! Thank you, Joe, for being so kind, patient, and (especially) professional. You are truly one of a kind!

I've been coming to Village Barber Shop for 15 years. I refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else. I have never walked out with a bad haircut! The crew here is awesome. They're funny, easy going, and great at their jobs. Highly recommended.

HOW TO FIND A GOOD BARBERSHOP
DO YOUR RESEARCH ONLINE
This one is a no-brainer. With so much information on the internet, the easiest thing anyone can do when trying to find a good barber is to look online. Look at the barbershop’s ratings and people’s comments. But don’t just look at the 5-star ratings or good comments. Take a peek at the bad comments too and see what the issues were and, most importantly, see how the barber responded to the bad review(s). Find out if they were level-headed and professional. Seeing how a barber behaves when things go bad, is very important. Barbers who handle negative comments professionally indicate a high level of maturity and quality experience.
TAKE A VISIT TO THE BARBERSHOP
There’s no way to feel the experience of a barbershop online. Sometimes the best thing you can do is to pay a visit to the barbershop. You don’t have to get a cut, but you can stop in to see if you like the place. Once you are there, take a note of the following things:
How clean is the shop?
What is the interaction like between the barber(s) and the customers.
Are the customers talking and interacting with each other and the barber(s)?
Is there a good process of checking in and waiting for a barber?
Is the shop busy or empty?
And most important of all, are the customers getting good haircuts?
WHAT IS THE BARBER LIKE
You want a barber who is skilled and confident in their haircutting abilities. You also want a barber with a pleasant personality who will both listen to what you want and give you advice on the best haircut. An experienced barber will make good eye contact, smile, and give you a firm handshake when you first walk
in. If you visit a barber for the first time, and they don’t make you feel comfortable or fail to give you exact answers to your requests or questions, they might not be the right fit for you.
HAIRCUT PRICES
Obviously, one of the most important things to look at when searching for a good barbershop are the prices. The best thing to do is to do your research and look at different barbershops. But pricing isn’t always an apples-to-apples comparison. Or example, you can go to chain barbershops and compare pricing because the chains are very similar in the services they provide. But your stand-alone, traditional barbershops set their prices based on things like the popularity of the barber, the popularity of the shop, the types of haircuts they provide, and their location – so prices can vary greatly. It’s up to the individual customer to determine how much they are willing to pay based on how well a particular barber cuts their hair and how comfortable they are with the barber.
